I Have Never

Title: I Have Never
Author: Camilla Isley
Release Date: July 13th, 2017
Genre: Chick Lit

Twenty-nine-year-old Blair Walker is a girl with a plan, or more a girl with a list. A list of dos and don’ts to live the perfect life, land a dream career, and marry Mr. Right.

When Blair loses her job and gets dumped by her boyfriend all in one day, she starts to wonder if she’s had it all wrong. And what better way to find out than experience everything the list forbade?

With hilarious consequences, Blair will discover some items are trickier to tick off than she’d thought…

A laugh out loud romantic comedy perfect for fans of Lindsey Kelk, Sophie Kinsella, and Mhairi McFarlane. First Comes Love is a series of interconnected romantic novels. However, each book in the series can be read as a standalone novel.

MY REVIEW

Hello, hello, HELLOOOO and welcome to my stop on the book tour!

I have had a lot of fun reading this book, it’s been a refreshing change from the huge pile of thrillers I’ve been reading and has left me smiling.

Blair has had a pretty rubbish day – not only did she not get the promotion she was after in work – she got sacked and to top it off, her longterm boyfriend; Gerard, is breaking up with her to run off with his secretary.

Blair has hit rock bottom, after years of following her ‘list’  which she always thought would bring her stability, success and happiness, she’s realised the list has done quite the opposite…. so she decides to do the opposite of the list

Each chapter is titled with one of the items on her list – Never Get Drunk; Always Move Up the Ladder, Never Down; Never Make Impulse Decisions; Never Mix Business and Pleasure…. the list goes on – and so I joined Blair on a fun adventure as she discovers what she has been missing out on.

A dishy boss, some fab new colleagues and a cute puppy made this a perfect chick lit with a dream like romance.

Isley has created a wonderful main character. Blair is likeable and a good role model – she’s passionate about her work but able to balance work with life.

For chick lit lovers, this will be perfect to add to your TBR list and enjoy on a weekend with a glass of vino!! … BUT also to my fellow thriller lovers, if you fancy a change from deep and complex, why not try this? It’ll make you laugh out loud and relax.

Until next time, Chloé x

Camilla is an engineer turned writer after she quit her job to follow her husband in an adventure abroad.

She’s a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She’s a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn’t want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.
