The Sunshine Award

There is no confabulation around this memory, I was nominated for the sunshine award by the one and only confabler, please do go over and get lost in a beautiful world of words and imagination… may I suggest starting with I’ll meet you behind closed eyes?

When an actor/author/singer/anyone remotely famous wins an award, there’s always an interview to follow and this is similar in the blogging world… we bloggers accept awards graciously and then have our own interview… rather conveniently the nominator has to propose the questions … so heads up to those who I’m nominating… I wonder what juicy information I can get out of you lot!

So here’s my juicy interview:

confabler: If you were to choose an insect that would take over the world after human extinction, who would that be?

me: Wowww…. that’s one way to break the ice… hmmm… I’m not really an insect person so I’m not sure how I’d answer this! I’d probably say the honey bee. I like the way honey bees work together as a team plus they pollinate a lot of the gorgeous plants we all have in our gardens today…. so even if we were to be extinct I’d be happy to think these bees would be looking after the planet and keeping it looking colourful.

confabler: How old were you when you first read Harry Potter? And your favorite author of course?

me: I think I was either nine or ten, we read the first book in school in english class about a year or two after it was first published. If you’d asked me when I was younger, I would probably have said J.K. Rowling because she was the lady who created the book lover I am today but nowadays it would be John Grisham. I love the litigation genre and Grisham tells a fantastic story

confabler: If you were invisible what is the craziest thing that you would do?

me: I can’t think of anything that I’d want to do specifically…. I’d probably just play tricks on people’s minds like move a pen on their desk…

confabler: What food makes you feel like a hungry hyena?

me: Pizza! I’m a pizza addict for sure! The minute I order my pizza from dominos, I’m like a restless hyena… I circle around the door waiting for my prey to arrive!

confabler: A song that makes you dream?

me: It’s usually whatever current song I’m obsessed with… at the moment it’s ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ by The Chainsmokers…

confabler: Have you ever planted a tree?

me: No! Shame on me… I’ve planted many flowers but never a tree

confabler: Choose your man: superman/ Spiderman/ iron man and if he was your best friend one thing that you would make him do?

me: Superman – fly me home from work whenever the trains are cancelled or delayed…. I know such a practical answer but alas…. it would be extremely useful!

confabler: How much time do you spend in front of the mirror everyday?

me: Probably about 30 mins… 15 mins in the morning and 15 mins in the night! It probably would be much less if I could perfect applying liquid eyeliner!

confabler: Why you started blogging and tell us about the post enjoyed the most making

me: I started blogging because it was getting to the stage where I looked at my bookshelf and couldn’t remember which books I’d LOVED and which I hadn’t so I wanted to have a place where I could capture my thoughts. In the past few years, I’ve become a huge fan of Zoella, Tanya Burr and all those folk that are huge on YouTube and I noticed that they constantly say how nice it is to capture your memories and then look back on them… so that’s how I ended up creating a lifestyle blog that consists mainly of book reviews! I enjoy writing all my posts so there’s none that stand out but I must say I love having contrast… after writing a few book review posts writing a post like this is such a nice change!

confabler: Which social media platform are you addicted to (including WordPress)?

me: Right now, it’s probably WordPress because it’s reasonably new to me but instagram is probably my favourite app that I turn to as I love seeing what my friends are up to and looking at hundreds of photos of cute dogs!
